The head referee designator of Serie A and Serie B, Gianluca Rocchi, met with the Italian federation earlier today to discuss the relations between coaches and match officials.
Rocchi also took a dig at Roma’s manager, Jose Mourinho, with regard to Mourinho’s comments following the loss to Udinese.

“Mourinho is very, very intelligent,” Rocchi remarked. “I wouldn’t say he wanted to divert attention away from his side’s defeat, but something along those lines.”
Finally, Rocchi made an appeal to all technicians in Italy, “I ask of them to take a minute to understand that whenever they choose to make remarks about a referee they create more tension.”
