Central defender Ramón, for his part, is currently in the midst of a season-long loan stint in Spain’s 2nd tier, with Mirandés.

The 22-year-old has long established himself as a pivotal member of the defensive ranks under the watch of boss Alessio Lisci, featuring in all but two of Mirandés’ league outings to date.

As alluded to above, however, in a blow to all of Real Madrid, Mirandés, and Ramón himself, the stopper will not be taking to the pitch again any time soon.

Ramón was stretchered out of his side’s important 2-1 downing of Burgos over the weekend.

And, as per an official statement across the website and social media platforms of Los Rojillos, an ensuing round of medical tests have revealed tears in both the ACL and meniscus of the Spaniard’s right knee:

‘After the MRI study carried out this morning in Mutualia (Vitoria), it has been confirmed that the CD Mirandés player: Pablo Ramón, suffers a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. He also suffers an incomplete radial tear in the lateral third of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus.

‘From the club we want to send all our support to our footballer, wishing him a speedy and successful recovery.’
