In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Real Madrid are facing stiff competition for Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard. It is understood that Los Blancos will have to rival Atletico Madrid in the race to acquire the services of the French right-back, who is currently representing his nation, France in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Pavard’s Impressive Run Of Form In The Bundesliga

Pavard has enjoyed a decent campaign with the Bavarian outfit and has been responsible for producing some promising performances on the right side of their defence. The French defender has scored four times in 21 matches for the Munich club this season in various competitions.

The 26-year-old has performed at a high level for Bayern on the right flank as he is averaging 2.5 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 2.2 clearances, 1.1 shots and 0.9 key passes per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He is primarily a right-back but can also operate as a centre-back if his manager asks him to do so.

A right-back of Pavard’s winning pedigree and quality will undeniably be an excellent addition to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti’s squad next summer. He would be a perfect replacement for Dani Carvajal, who looks like a player on the decline, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

At 26, Pavard’s best years are ahead of him which makes him an ideal choice for Los Blancos to focus on in 2023.
