An insight into the personnel plans of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti for his side’s return to action on Friday night has been provided.
The info comes courtesy of Radio Marca, and points towards Ancelotti preparing a near-complete overhaul to his XI.
In fact, from the line-up which put Barcelona to the sword last time out, just two players are expected to remain against Real Sociedad.
The players in question? Luka Modrić, and Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Elsewhere, the forgotten Kepa Arrizabalaga is primed to take his place between the posts, with the likes of Fran García, Brahim Díaz and Joselu also likely to feature from the off.
As much, of course, comes with Ancelotti and his coaching staff having one eye on matters next week, when Real will kick the club’s Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich into gear at the Allianz Arena.
Not only that, but with an 11-point advantage having been opened to 2nd-placed Barcelona in the La Liga table, Los Blancos can afford to drop a couple of points here and there over the weeks ahead.
