Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera has caught the attention of Real Madrid in recent times.
The 20-year-old centre-back’s contract with Los Che expires in 2026, making him an appealing target for the Spanish capital club on a potential free transfer next summer.
In fact, recent reports suggested that Real Madrid were keeping a close eye on Mosquera at the U-21 European Championship, where he was representing Spain.
However, in a concerning development for Real Madrid, Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal are in talks to Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia this summer itself.
The 20-year-old defender, in fact, has already given his green light to the move as he is keen on joining the Premier League giants.

Arsenal are understood to have already explained their project to the young centre-back and more rounds are now expected to take place both with the player and the club before the deal can be finalised.
This comes as a major blow for Real Madrid’s hopes of signing Mosquera on a free transfer in 2026.
A product of the Valencia academy, the 20-year-old has already racked up 90 senior appearances for Los Che and has been a regular in the Spain U-21 national team for a year.
Given his potential and proven pedigree in La Liga, Real Madrid were keen on making a move for the youngster next summer, when they could sign him for free.
However, it appears that Arsenal are now poised to beat Los Blancos to another transfer in Mosquera after having signed Martin Zubimendi this summer.
