Endrick was dealt a major blow towards the end of the domestic season as the Real Madrid starlet suffered a serious hamstring injury in late May.

The Brazilian teenager was said to be facing a recovery timeline of at least two months, effectively ruling him out of the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.

Endrick could return in the next round

However, in a major update, Sergio Quirante of DAZN now reports that Real Madrid could see Endrick make a surprise early return from injury.

Indeed, the 18-year-old centre-forward, who did not travel with the rest of the squad to the USA for the Club World Cup, will be flying there this Saturday.

And, if Real Madrid progress through to the next round, there is a possibility that the young striker could make his comeback from injury.

If true, this comes as a major boost for Real Madrid given that they have had to be careful with Kylian Mbappe who has been struggling with gastroenteritis throughout the trip.

Gonzalo Garcia has filled in ably as the No. 9, but having Endrick available will provide more options to manager Xabi Alonso.

While his teammates play at the Club World Cup, the Brazilian international has been working diligently on his recovery at Valdebebas and his efforts seem to have paid off.

It will be interesting to see if the youngster is given any minutes right away at the tournament or whether Alonso opts to ease him into action to avoid risks.

In his debut season at Real Madrid, Endrick has made 37 appearances, scoring seven and assisting one goal.
