The brass at La Liga oufit Real Betis have identified AS Roma star Enzo Le Fée as a leading transfer target for the January window.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.

Amid nothing short of a personnel crisis in Manuel Pellegrini’s midfield ranks, Betis have long been on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park with a view to the 2nd half of the campaign.

The last week has seen the name of one player, in Juventus outcast Arthur Melo, pushed more than any other as the most likely to land at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word to have surfaced on Tuesday is anything to go by, then a new contender appears to have positioned himself firmly in the running to add to Real Betis’ midfield ranks.

As per Fabrizio Romano, citing Filippo Biafora, amid what has proven a difficult debut season for the Frenchman in Serie A to date:

‘Real Betis have a concrete interest in signing Enzo Le Fée from AS Roma in January.’

Any such deal would be expected to come in the form of a loan.
