Meanwhile, the Spanish coach also opened the door to Jadon Philogene's departure in the winter window amid links to forward Donyell Malen.

“My conversation with him is to be patient, take time. The adaptation is going slower than we want but the transfer window in January could be one option."

Finally, we hear from Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, and it's not great news for the Villans.

Pau Torres is facing two months on the sidelines after breaking a metatarsal against Brighton in midweek.

Meanwhile, Diego Carlos and Jadon Philogene are both also absent through injury, and Morgan Rogers and Jhon Duran are both suspended.

January exit off for Tottenham?

It had been expected that Sergio Reguilon would leave in January, but injury to Udogie seems to have changed that...

"He played last week and it just depends on the situation. He has been available all year. At the moment it's no secret that we have a lot of defenders out and obviously we've lost Destiny [Udogie] now for a period of time so Reguilon I'm sure will get more opportunities", Postecoglou explained.

On the other side of the midlands rivalry, Nuno Espirito Santo has fewer issues at Nottingham Forest.

Both Callum Hudson-Odoi and Murillo, who missed their last game, could feature on Monday night.

The pair are 'much better... Yeah, I think so. Tomorrow we will decide.'

Meanwhile, Ryan Yates has returned from suspension.

Wolves are already without the banned Matheus Cunha, but Vitor Pereira has now confirmed that they could now also be without Mario Lemina with a 'small injury', while Toti Gomes could miss the rest of the month.

'We need to be ready to play with and without Cunha as a team. We have players with different skills, and we will be ready. He knows that it was not a good reaction.'

Back to Carrington, and Amorim is remaining tight-lipped on the January transfer window.

"I will keep that to myself. We will try to do something", he told reporters.

Could they be making a winter move or two?

Meanwhile, Fulham boss Marco Silva has Harrison Reed back in training, but neither he nor Sander Berge will be fit for the clash against Ipswich in west London.

"Harrison Reed is back in training, Berge needs a little bit more time", Silva explained.

Reiss Nelson remains sidelined with a hamstring problem.

Now to East Anglia, where Kieran McKenna has injury issues in the form of Conor Chaplin, who is set to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a knee injury, while there are a few other "late calls".

The Ipswich Town boss adds that his side are looking to recruit a new forward in January, and that Christian Walton will start in goal once more after a strong performance against Chelsea.

A couple of big points coming out of Rúben Amorim's press conference.

Firstly, he reveals that Harry Maguire will see his contract extended at Old Trafford.

“We will trigger our option, we need Harry a lot”, Amorim told reporters.

“He needs to improve as a leader because we are starving for leaders on the pitch”.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford will miss the clash with Liverpool through illness.

And on transfers, Glasner is equally transparent....

"We want to sign two players. The profiles are clear. Players are fixed.

"There's a clear commitment to sign two players."

Meanwhile he adds that he believes Marc Guehi will stay at the club until at least the end of the season.

Oliver Glasner is the next man to provide a fitness update on his Crystal Palace side, and it is mixed news for the Eagles.

"Will Hughes is unavailable, he got injured in the Southampton game. Adam Wharton is out - it looks like it will take longer and longer. Cheick Doucoure will start next to Jefferson Lerma", the Austrian explained.

Wow. Maresca has admitted that Fofana's season in Chelsea colours could be over...

“Unfortunately, there’s a risk Wesley Fofana could be out for the entire season”.

“Initial feeling was for 5 weeks but then more tests gave us bad news. We don't know exactly yet, but it's a huge loss”.

However, Postecoglou did suggest that the club would be active in January as they seek to turn their season around...

"The club is working hard to get some help for the playing group. We need to bolster up our numbers a bit. January is obviously not an easy time to bring players in quickly and we still want to do what’s best for us rather than panic."

They have been linked with a move for a new centre-back in recent weeks.

In fact, we can hear from him now.

The Spurs boss has more bad news; an illness has been going through the Tottenham camp ahead of their clash with Newcastle.

"Destiny his hamstring, looks around six weeks for him. We lose Bentancur suspended. None of the injured ones are back yet. We've had a bit of an illness bug with a few not training", he explained.

"At this stage Richy and Mikey Moore are the next cabs off the rank, we're hoping next week. Ben, Micky and Romero all kind of around the same time, back end of January"

Meanwhile, Vicario will remain sidelined into February.

Tottenham are already without seven players through injury as Destiny Udogie has become the latest casualty.

The Italian is now set to miss almost two months with a hamstring issue, and we'll be getting Postecoglou's reaction to that shortly.

Could it force Spurs into January action?

Chelsea have already recalled defender Aaron Anselmino, but Maresca hasn't closed the door on more January additions...

"Now the focus is on tomorrow's game. It is an important game like the rest. For sure, these two players [Fofana and Badiashile] will be out for a long time so we'll see [if we need to head into January market]."

Uh oh: Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has given his side's latest bill of health, and it is bad news for the Blues.

Though Reece James has returned and Romeo Lavia is also closing in, Benoit Badiashile will be absent until February while star defender Wesley Fofana is set for another lengthy absence.

"Reece is back already. Romeo is very close. He's started to work with us. Kiernan is still out. Wes will be out for a very long time. Benoit will be out at least until February."

Talk about bad luck!

Bournemouth boss Andone Iraola is one of several managers currently facing the media.

Says Tyler Adams is fit to play against Everton after the USMNT midfielder missed the draw with Fulham.

Meanwhile, Justin Kluivert is back from suspension.

Adam Smith, Marcus Tavernier and Luis Sinisterra are in individual training but are not yet back training with the team, so will miss the clash with the Toffees.

The Man City boss has also hinted that viewers might be treated to more of James McAtee in action in the coming weeks, despite intense speculation about his potential exit this January.

"He made us believe that maybe he should've had more minutes but he's young, and a lot of games still to play, but of course he played really good.

"And the most important is all of his teammates were so happy, because he has big respect for how he behaves in the locker room..."

Quizzed on potential transfers, Guardiola urged his side not to rush into anything in the winter window.

"I don't know right now. It's not easy, it will not be easy. Maybe we'll sign, or maybe we don't sign anyone. So I think the club has to be wise, don't do it for doing it, just to add players.

"Of course for the situation that we have and from the perspective of the players that have had consistent injuries for many, many, many times, of course the club has to do it. But I don't know if it will be possible..."

Pep Guardiola is here now.

First up, he is asked about the injury situation, and admits that it hasn't got much better in the last week.

"[The injury situation] is quite similar to where we were at Leicester...

[Ruben Dias] is getting better but he will not be ready for tomorrow."

Yesterday he [Ederson] trained better. It was the first training session without disturbance in his leg."

All of John Stones, Rodri, Matheus Nunes and Oscar Bobb are still sidelined.

Meanwhile, Newcastle's Eddie Howe was excited by the prospect of facing Spurs, looking to continue their five game winning run against Postecoglou's struggling side.

Mikel Arteta has also faced the media, with his side in action against Brighton on Saturday evening.

The Gunners boss was bullish about his side's chances of still winning the Premier League.
