If you get Sterling’s wages off the books, you have more leeway to offer Osimhen closer to what he wants, whether that’s with a lower base wage or incentives.

“Sterling might still be tough to move, but it will now be down to him and his agents to decide what they want to do. With Joao Felix coming in now as well, Sterling has been told his playing time will be limited and he will even be lucky to make match day squads.
