PSV rumoured to be in contact with Memphis, message clear about possible reunion

PSV are still in contact with Memphis Depay, according to Voetbal International’s Marco Timmer. However, a return doesn’t seem to be on the cards at the moment.

Currently with Corinthians in Brazil, Memphis went through the youth academy of PSV and left the Eindhoven team in 2015 for Manchester United in a 34 million euro move. Since then, Memphis’ name has been linked to a return to Eindhoven almost every transfer period, with some instances more concrete than others.

Marco Timmer suggests that at the moment, though, there doesn’t seem to be any suggestion of Memphis returning to PSV. That said, the Eindhoven team does, as ‘always’, have contact with the youth exponent.

The Eindhovens Dagblad is more assertive and makes it clear that nothing is going on, despite the fact that there is contact.
