PSG have been handed a tough draw for the revamped 36-team Champions League. The Ligue 1 champions will notably lock horns with Premier League powerhouses Manchester City and Arsenal as well as Bundesliga serial winners Bayern Munich. For the first time in its history, UEFA used AI-assisted software to determine the games of the tournament’s new-look league phase. Between September and January 2025, Les Parisiens will play eight Champions League games, including four at their Parc des Princes home.
Luis Enrique’s squad will need to bring their A-game to qualify for the later stages of the Champions League as there will be four heavyweight clashes against some of Europe’s best teams. PSG will host 2023 Champions League winners Manchester City as well as Atlético de Madrid. The Ligue 1 champions will also travel to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal and pay a visit to the Allianz Arena to face Bayern Munich.
PSG will also face two games each against teams from Pot 3 and 4, namely PSV, RB Salzburg, Girona and VfB Stuttgart. PSG’s Champions League schedule will be revealed on Saturday.
