Everton will be hoping to build on their historic Merseyside derby victory when they take on Leicester City at Walton Hall Park on Thursday evening.

The Blue Girls recorded a 3-0 victory over city rivals Liverpool on Sunday, putting in arguably their best performance for many months. Thursday’s opponents Leicester City will arrive on Merseyside still searching for their first points of the new season after falling to back-to-back defeats against Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

Everton manager Brian Sørensen could have forward Aggie Beever-Jones available for selection after she missed her side’s last match with a knock. Karen Holmgaard is building her fitness and could again be involved but Clare Wheeler is still out. Everton will be without forward Toni Duggan for the remainder of the season as a result of her pregnancy while long term absentee Nicoline Sørensen is not yet closing in on a return.

The Barclays Women’s Super League fixture between Everton and Leicester City kicks-off at 6.30pm on Thursday evening. The match has been declared a sell-out with no further tickets available.
