10. Monaco (🆕)

Monaco just aren’t going away in Ligue 1, no matter how much people focus on PSG, Lille and Lyon.

With five wins in a row, they’ve now opened a four point gap to Lyon and sit third, a point behind PSG and two points behind an inconsistent Lille side. Well in the title race.

9. Sevilla (🆕)

The underdogs in the LaLiga title race just keep winning, write them off at your peril.

It’s four wins in a row now in the league, leaving Sevilla in fourth, just three points from top spot. Their run-in isn’t the easiest but they are arguably the league’s most in-form side.

8. Leicester City (👍 Last week: 10)

Now seven points clear of West Ham and eight clear of Liverpool, Leicester are in the driving seat for a place in next season’s Champions League.

The challenge now will to be to avoid the mistakes of last season and seal top four.

7. Manchester United (👌 Last week: 7)

Manchester United dropped points again last weekend, drawing with Leeds, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won’t have minded too much.

They sit comfortably in second in the Premier League and have a big Europa League semi-final first leg on Thursday as Solskjaer chases his first trophy as United manager.

6. Chelsea (👍 Last week: 8)

Things are going pretty well for Thomas Tuchel in west London. Already in the FA Cup final, they earned a good result in Madrid to leave the possibility of a Champions League final wide open.

And they beat West Ham, giving them a three point cushion in the race for a top four spot in the Premier League.

5.  Paris Saint-Germain (👎 Last week: 4)

It was all going so well, Man City were on the ropes. But PSG ran out of gas, Pep Guardiola’s side turned the screw, and the Champions League now looks like a long shot for the season.

There’s no escaping that PSG have improved recently, though, and three Ligue 1 wins in a row has left them a point off top spot with four left to play.

4. Barcelona (👎 Last week: 3)

Barcelona weren’t at their most convincing at the weekend but still came from behind to beat Villarreal.

With no continental football to distract them, they’re looking primed for the final straight in the LaLiga title race.

3. Bayern Munich (👎 Last week: 1)

Not present in this week’s Champions League semi-finals or this weekend’s DFB Pokal semi-finals, Bayern only have the league to play for now.

And they missed their first chance to seal that, too, losing to Mainz on Saturday when a win would have clinched a ninth Bundesliga title in a row.

2. Inter (👌 Last week: 2)

Inter’s minor blip is over and they are right back on track for the Scudetto.

Now unbeaten in 17 league matches, their 11 point gap at the top of the table looks insurmountable with just five games left to play.

1. Manchester City (👍 Last week: 5)

What a week for Manchester City, what a response to the end of their quadruple dream.

The first trophy of the season went their way as they won a fourth consecutive League Cup at the weekend and they backed it up with their comeback win in Paris, firmly planting one foot in the Champions League final.
