Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is reportedly a candidate for the vacancy at Wolverhampton Wanderers. The managerial merry-go-round took another casualty as Bruno Lange was dismissed after the shocking start to the Premier League season.

According to The Telegraph’s John Percy, via Talking Wolves, the Midlands club are keen on Ange but recognise the difficulties in luring him away from Celtic.

Ange is committed to his role at Celtic and rebuffed any chat of Leicester or Brighton. The likelihood is that a team will prise Postecoglou away in the future but he has spoken about the project at Celtic. The club need to provide Ange with a long-term contract to secure the club’s position should the manager come under consideration by Premier League sides in the future.

The Australian arrived from Yokohama F Marinos last year and not many people could predict how well things would go with the rebuild of a Celtic team that had been awful the year before. A number of signings came in and Ange was able to get his team playing attractive football.

Ange has become a greatly appreciated figure at the head of the club, rekindling the bond between the supporters and the team. He has a Scottish League Cup and Premiership title to his name and will be eyeing more silverware this season.
