Portuguese is on its way to becoming the official language of the Wolves dressing room, according to defender Rúben Vinagre.
The 20-year-old is one of seven Portuguese players in the Molineux club’s senior squad.
Add manager Nuno Espírito Santo and some of his backroom staff into the mix, and you can see why the language is so common at the club nowadays.
“We have a fantastic group. We get along very well. We dine together, celebrate birthdays together. It’s a really good group,” Vinagre told Portuguese newspaper Record, via Sport Witness.
“But it’s not just with the Portuguese players, it’s with everyone.
“The English and the French [players] even try to learn to speak Portuguese.
“We have a fantastic group and that is fundamental in what we have been doing.”
Wolves are enjoying an incredible season. They currently sit in sixth in the Premier League and have reached the last 16 of the Europa League.
