RMC Sport report this afternoon that several police searched have taken place today in the world French football agency as well as at the headquarters of Saint-Étienne and Angers.
The two clubs are targeted by an investigation over their links with at least three agents, who have been placed under police custody today in Nanterre, near Paris. The raids sought to obtain financial and administrative documents as part of an investigation into suspicious transfers.
RMC add that the transfers of Adil Aouchiche of Saint-Étienne and of Billal Brahimi (now of Nice, formerly at Angers) are being investigated as part of the inquiry.
The agents are the subject of a preliminary investigation regarding alleged “illegal practising of the profession of sporting agent” as well as “aggravated laundering”.
The audit at Angers’ headquarters is still underway. The club is not expecting any repercussions for the time being, although several employees are expecting to have hearings with police in the coming weeks. The raid at Saint-Étienne is now over.
