When it comes to the Europa League, there is officially no one better than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Marseille striker’s latest goal against Shakhtar Donetsk has made him the competition’s record scorer.
Trailing 1-0 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate, the Ligue 1 side were in desperate need of some inspiration and got it from their main man this season.
Played in by Amine Harit, the Gabonese legend calmly finished to put his team back in the tie, and make some history for himself.
The goal was his 31st in the Europa League, which sees him go past Radamel Falcao in the post-2009 rebranding era.
As well as that, the 34-year-old has tied Celtic legend Henrik Larsson for goals across the entire history of both the Europa and UEFA Cup, which stretches all the way back to 1971.
Quite a night for Aubameyang, and it could get even better as he looks to secure Marseille’s spot in the last 16!
