Paul Pogba has been pictured driving into Manchester United’s training base in Carrington ahead of potentially returning to action next week.

The Frenchman has been plagued by a foot injury initially sustained in August and then exacerbated in late September.

Pogba has spent the last week working on several strengthening exercises after seeing his cast removed from his foot ahead of United’s 3-3 draw with Sheffield United.

Now, thankfully, he is back at Carrington for – hopefully – the final leg of his recovery process.

It would be wonderfully Pogba-esque for the midfielder, having barely played all season, to come back for the meeting with Manchester City on December 7 and absolutely running havoc all over the pitch, much like when he turned the 3-2 win at the Etihad in April 2018 in United’s favour almost single-handedly.

At the same time, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot rush him back after such a prolonged period on the sidelines. The midfielder is too crucial – especially at a time when the midfield is criminally understaffed.
