People “don’t want to admit they were wrong” – Chelsea favourite backs Mason Mount | OneFootball

Chelsea are changing a lot of their team this summer, but one player who will remain a key figure is Mason Mount.

The youth product has been a star ever since breaking into the team at Stamford Bridge, but as is unfortunately all too common in the modern world, there are a number of contrarians among Chelsea fans who have decided they hate him.

Real Blues are baffled, and that includes former player Joe Cole, who has just done an interesting interview with Football Daily which you can see here.

“That’s the sign of the times in it, people don’t want to admit they were wrong [about Mount],” the former England winger commented.

“Anyone who’s not having Mason Mount needs to just really have a look at themselves.”

We’re having Mason Mount – we always were from the day we first saw him in the youth teams. And those who aren’t having him, well, if they haven’t changed their mind already, they’re not going to change it now.

All Mount can do is keep playing like he’s playing, and keep winning trophies for this club. The haters will soon melt away into the background.
