Manchester City will face off against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road in the FA Cup as they look to secure a victory on the road. Pep Guardiola‘s men managed to secure a solid 1-0 win away at Bournemouth recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this cup game.

The Mancunian club will set themselves up in a 3-2-2-3 formation once again with Guardiola expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Stefan Ortega could get a chance to impress from the start of this clash while Ederson gets a well-deserved rest on the bench.

Midfield

Rodri and John Stones will operate as Man City’s holding midfielders as they try to dictate the tempo of the game in the opponent’s half. Bernardo Silva and Julian Alvarez will function as Guardiola’s primary attacking midfielders. Their main focus would be move the ball well and orchestrate some decent openings in the attacking end of the field.

Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.

Attack

Jeremy Doku will function as the left-sided wide player while Kevin de Bruyne hopes to catch the eye on the right flank. Erling Haaland will once again lead the line for Man City up top. The Norway international would be eager to make a difference for his team by scoring against Luton in midweek.

Jack Grealish will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Guardiola’s men are in need of a goal by then.
