In May 2019, the conclusion to an epic Premier League title race was reached at the Amex Stadium.

The scenario was simple - a City win would see Pep Guardiola's men become the first team in 10 years to retain the title.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool had pursued the Blues all the way and any slip-ups would surely be punished by the Merseysiders - and on 27 minutes, City fans held their collective breath as Glenn Murray put the Seagulls ahead.

However, 83 seconds later, Sergio Aguero restored parity and on half-time, Aymeric Laporte headed City into a 2-1 lead.

The nerve-ends were still jangling on the sun-drenched East Sussex coast until just after the hour when Riyad Mahrez's beautiful strike made it 3-1.

But on 72 minutes, the celebrations really began.

A free-kick on the edge of the Brighton box was awarded and the 4,000 City fans waited in anticipation behind the goal.

Up stepped Ilkay Gundogan to curl a sublime shot into the top corner to make it 4-1 and seal victory.

Champions again... which also meant City became the first men's side to win every available honour in the English game in one season.

The Fourmidables!
