After a deadline day full of twists and turns, Paris Saint-Germain have completed a deal to sign French international striker Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 champions.

While reports of a €90m agreement between the two clubs had emerged after midday, by the late afternoon it looked as though Hugo Ekitike’s reported refusal to sign for the Bundesliga side as a replacement for the former Nantes man had scuppered PSG’s efforts. Even more so, when Eintracht Frankfurt raised their asking price later in the evening, after the end of the German transfer window.

In the end, though, PSG were able to sign Kolo Muani for the previously-agreed transfer fee. The forward returns to Ligue 1 just one season after initially leaving Nantes, having scored 23 in all competitions last season. He will form part of an a new-look, all-French attacking line for the current champions, alongside Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé.
