Paul Akouokou is officially returning to Spain. The former Betis midfielder will spend the season with Zaragoza (Spanish second division). The club has officially agreed to a loan deal without a purchase option with the Rhône club on Monday evening.
Lyon therefore isn't parting ways with their player, who is under contract until 2027, but his temporary departure helps the club save on his wages.
