Mbaye Diagne is back in Turkey. After concluding his adventure in Saudi Arabia with Neom SC, the Senegalese international striker has officially signed with Amedspor, a club competing in the Turkish second division.

This transfer marks a return to familiar territory for Mbaye Diagne. Indeed, the Senegalese centre-forward has already enjoyed several spells in Turkey, notably with Kasimpasa, Galatasaray, and more recently Fatih Karagümrük. These stints were highlighted by his clinical finishing and physical prowess. His time in the Süper Lig was especially memorable in the 2018-2019 season, when he finished as the league’s top scorer. That achievement earned him a move to Galatasaray, where he went on to win the Turkish league title.

A new challenge at 33 for Mbaye Diagne

Now 33 years old, Mbaye Diagne brings a wealth of top-level experience to Amed SK. The newly promoted second-division club is counting on the striker’s firepower and experience to help secure their place in the league—or perhaps even aim higher—in a championship known for its fierce competition.

Mbaye Diagne’s career continues to surprise. From China to Belgium, with stops in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the Senegalese national team, the striker’s journey is marked by determination. His arrival at Amed SK is not only a sporting gamble for the club but also a great opportunity for the player to make his mark once again on Turkish football.
