Celta Vigo have announced the signing of striker Gonçalo Paciência on a three-year deal. The 28-year-old joins from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Paciência has played for a number of Portuguese clubs including Porto, with a short spell at Greek club Olympiacos in between.
His last four years were spent in Germany, between Schalke 04 and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Celta, in an official statement, wrote: “He is a powerful striker in the air, with a good shot.”
The Portuguese spoke about becoming a Celta player: “A few months ago I was told about this project and the opportunity to come here, now everything has happened very quickly. I am very excited and eager to start. Celta is a club with a long tradition in Spain.
“The Spanish league for the Portuguese, who are next door, is always a goal. I’ve always had this dream. I’m a striker who plays in the penalty area but who likes to participate in the team’s play. I like to be involved in every moment of the game.”
