The 2024/25 season’s final Mainova Player of the Month award has gone to Eintracht’s 27-year-old Danish Dynamite, who finished ahead of Robin Koch and Ansgar Knauff in the vote.
When Rasmus Kristensen steered the ball into the bottom left corner in the 61st minute of Eintracht’s crucial game against SC Freiburg at the Europa-Park Stadion, he not only gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead to leave them on the brink of UEFA Champions League qualification, but also extended his personal scoring run to three consecutive Bundesliga games. All three of those efforts – against Mainz, St. Pauli and Freiburg – came in the month of May.
Not long after the final whistle on Matchday 34, Eintracht fans had the opportunity to vote for their Mainova Player of the Month in the mainaqila app. Kristensen was nominated alongside Ansgar Knauff, who came out on top in the April poll, and Robin Koch.
Eintracht’s No.13 ended up receiving 69.4 percent of the vote, well ahead of Knauff, who scored the Eagles’ equaliser in the 3-1 triumph in Freiburg, and centre-back Koch, who played more minutes (3,735) in all competitions in 2024/25 than any other Eagles player.
