Chelsea are involved in a few transfer battles to sign players before the end of the summer transfer window later this month.

The one major transfer saga that Chelsea have been involved with is dragging on, but it might finally be reaching a breakthrough now.

The Blues want to sign another centre-back, and it is Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana who they are pushing to sign, and only him as well by the looks of it, at least in the centre back area anyway.

But this one has dragged and dragged and have had many doubting whether it can get done or not. Transfer insider Ben Jacobs, who has good connections at Chelsea and Leicester, has some ‘good news’ for Chelsea fans wanting Fofana.

He says that Leicester are now ‘more open’ to selling Fofana than before, and Chelsea have now entered ‘direct talks’ with the club in order to push this over the line now.

Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT“Leicester are now more open to a sale than they were when Chelsea first started bidding.

“The good news, from Chelsea’s perspective, is that there are direct talks taking place between them and Leicester.

“Brendan Rodgers has softened his language from ‘not for sale’ to ‘not wanting to sell’ and there’s a key difference between those two stances.”
