Nottingham Forest are keen to make sure they land young talents between the ages of 20 and 24 this summer and have a star at Birmingham City on the radar, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The City Ground side are focused on balancing the books ahead of Sunday’s Premier League PSR deadline and they are expected to sell Moussa Niakhate.

Another defender, in the shape of Murillo, is also drawing interest, with Chelsea keen on the centre-back.

Beyond outgoings though, Nottingham Forest have a clear idea of the business they want to do and focusing on young talents is the aim.

Players between the ages of 20 and 24 are the focus and Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James is on their radar.

James is currently 19, but is due to turn 20 early next month and though Birmingham were relegated from the Championship last season, his reputation has continued to grow.

The Wales international was subject to interest in the January transfer window earlier this year, but stayed put at Blues.

If Nottingham Forest were to make a move for James this summer they could face competition, with the midfielder being tracked by a host of sides.

James made 42 appearances in Birmingham’s disastrous campaign in the Championship last season, scoring eight times.
