Cavan Sullivan signs largest homegrown player deal in MLS history

The Philadelphia Union academy product is being touted as one of the next generation's superstars in American soccer, and this week he put pen to paper on a homegrown contract. According to reports the 14-year-old will also sign with Premier League giants Manchester City in 2027.

If Sullivan debuts before July 29, he would become the youngest professional North American player in professional sports leagues (MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, NHL, NWSL), and in Europe's top five leagues.


Marco Reus rumored to make MLS move this summer

Just 24 hours after Borussia Dortmund booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League final, BVB legend Marco Reus was strongly linked with a move to Major League Soccer.

According to the Athletic, St. Louis City have had 'preliminary conversations' with Reus, whose Dortmund contract will expire this summer. Reus' former teammate Roman Bürki is currently a St. Louis City player.


Columbus Crew top latest CONCACAF Club Rankings

The CONCACAF Club Rankings have long been dominated by Liga MX clubs, but MLS Cup Champions Columbus Crew have been named to the top in the latest edition of the list.

While eight of the top-10 clubs come from Mexico, the Crew moved into the top-spot after knocking both Tigres and Monterrey out of the Champions Cup en-rout to the final.


Federico Bernardeschi set for Toronto FC contract extension

After a tumultuous first season north of the border, Bernadeschi has cemented himself as one of Toronto's most important players under new manager John Herdman this season.

As a result, TFC reportedly plan to extend Bernadeschi's contract with the club in an effort to keep him at BMO Field for the remaining years of his peak.


USMNT midfielder Malik Tillman makes PSV move permanent

USMNT midfielder Malik Tillman has joined PSV Eindhoven on a permanent basis from Bayern Munich. The 21-year-old, who has been on loan at PSV club this season, has signed a four-year contract and will settle in Eindhoven.

Tillman has made 10 caps for the United States, and consistent play in one of Europe's top leagues should only help his cause with head coach Gregg Berhalter.


CF Montrèal part ways with Olivier Renard

The Canadian club announced this week that they agreed to mutually part ways with vice president and chief sporting officer Olivier Renard.

Montreal had also been known for high-profile departures from the club during his time with the club, most notably the departure of current Columbus Crew boss and Coach of the Year, Wilfried Nancy.

Club president and CEO Gabriel Gervais will take over Montréal's sporting direction on an interim basis.
