It was another busy week in the news cycle here in North America with major confirmed signings, interesting rumors, and plenty more.
Let's dig into some of the biggest stories.
It was perhaps the world's worst kept secret in MLS, but Milan and France striker Olivier Giroud has finally put pen to paper on a move to LAFC and will join the club this summer.
Giroud will join former France teammate Hugo Lloris and another plethora of stars at BMO Stadium as the Black and Gold look to reclaim their MLS Cup supremacy.
The Independent Review Panel for MLS has 'unanimously' rescinded the suspension and accompanying fine for the red card issued to San Jose's Bruno Wilson against Portland Wednesday evening.
The Earthquakes man was sent off for an alleged handball on the line which saved a potential Timbers goal, but many have criticized the decision in the days since.
Legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos is reportedly in 'advanced talks' over a move to San Diego FC, who are set to join MLS for the 2025 campaign.
Ramos would likely join the club as a Designated Player and could the first of many big moves the southern California outfit make to kickoff life in Major League Soccer.
Former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch will be returning to the touchline after being hired for the Canadian Men's National Team job. He will join the team this summer and lead them into Copa América.
Marsch had long been linked to the USMNT job, but the role was eventually filled by Gregg Berhalter for his second stint as head coach.
PSV and Mexico winger Chucky Lozano has claimed that he would prefer a move to Liga MX ahead of Major League Soccer should he return to North America after a long career in Europe.
Lozano had been strongly linked to the aforementioned San Diego FC, but the winger stated, "that information, it hasn't reached me."
When asked if he would consider a move to the States, Lozano was quick to say he would prefer a move home.
"Well, I'd like to go to Liga MX," he said. "Pachuca gave me many things, it gave me the opportunity to be in the first division. If I return to Mexico, I think the first option would be Pachuca.”
Nashville have started the new campaign in poor form, winning just three of their opening 12 matches to find themselves sitting on the outside of the MLS Cup Playoff spots and have subsequently parted ways with long-time manager Gary Smith.
Smith had been with the club since their inaugural season in the United Soccer League in 2017, and oversaw their transition to MLS in 2020.
