The breakdown of Neymar (32) and Paris Saint-Germain’s relationship has been well-documented with the scorned Brazilian having taken multiple shots at the club since leaving to join Al-Hilal in the summer.

The Brazilian was highly critical of the club last season for a transfer policy that seemed to be designed around appeasing his teammate and rival Kylian Mbappé (25) and vented his anger in a loss against AS Monaco at some of the signings that he believed had weakened the team.

And his internal criticisms have turned now to open mockery since leaving the club that had signed him for a world record fee of €222 million from Barcelona in 2017. The forward has made fun of Ousmane Dembélé for his low-scoring record and liked a post critical of Mbappé.

An ode to Neymar

The forward who was ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL tear during the international break watched on as his two former clubs played out a thrilling Champions Leauge quarter-final, and while he could not be there, Barcelona goal-scorer Raphinha (27) made sure he was there in spirit.

For his first-ever goal in the Champions League, the Brazilian celebrated with an ode to his injured international teammate. A fact that Neymar seemed to appreciate when he commented under Barcelona’s post with an emoji of his celebration.
