Over the weekend, Olivier Ntcham caused an uproar within Celtic circles after he was quoted that it is ‘flattering’ to be linked with Marseille and that he ‘was disappointed’ to not move to Porto last summer.
The 23-year-old also slammed the level of Scottish football and claimed he’s ready to play in Germany, Spain, or preferably France.
Now, Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that Ntcham will soon face the music.
“You can imagine, we find the comments untimely and not particularly accurate,” Lennon said.
“I think it is fair to say that a lot of us, would it be management, players or people at the club, were not satisfied with the comments.
“That will be addressed when Olivier comes back.
“When I speak to Olivier, it will be done privately, but I will be speaking to him about his mindset and his attitude towards the club as well, which, the way it came across, didn’t look good.”
Ntcham is not with Celtic for their Champions League first qualifying round clash at FK Sarajevo on Tuesday as he is currently recovering from a Euro U-21 Championship semi-final run with France.
