Napoli reveal injury to Victor Osimhen ahead of Milan clash | OneFootball

Napoli have been dealt a blow in their preparations for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Milan with the news that Victor Osimhen is injured.

In a training update released on Friday, the club announced that Osimhen returned from international duty with Nigeria suffering from discomfort, with tests revealing an injury to his left adductor.

A timescale on the striker’s recovery has not yet been provided, but the club say his injury will be assessed next week, ruling him out of the Milan game.

Osimhen has scored 25 goals for the Serie A leaders this season, and coach Luciano Spalletti will be hoping to have him back fit in time for the Champions League quarter-final first leg with Milan on 12 April.

In better news, Napoli also confirmed that Diego Demme and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa both took part in the full training session on Friday, while Bartosz Bereszyński continued his recovery from a knee injury with some individual work.
