Al-Hilal couldn’t sign Victor Osimhen and Theo Hernandez for the start of the FIFA Club World Cup, but they haven’t stopped chasing them. After getting initially rebuffed, they are more confident they’ll be able to persuade the outbound Milan star, Calciomercato reports.
The Middle Eastern franchise has put €20M per year on the table for the fullback. The negotiation between the two clubs would proceed quickly if he accepted. The Rossoneri would pocket about 30M, with only a small part of the figure in bonuses. Atletico Madrid, which are the Frenchman’s preferred destination, didn’t come close to the demand and has moved on to different options.
On top of getting closer to Theo Hernandez, Al-Hilal have increased their offer for Victor Osimhen. He turned them down too in early June. According to Corriere dello Sport, they have lodged a massive proposal: €40M annually for the next four years.
FIFA Club World Cup participants can add two new players to their lists between June 27th and July 3rd. The Simone Inzaghi-led club drew in the first two games.
Galatasaray are also putting pressure on the star striker to make a decision. On the other hand, he might be buying time. The deadline to activate his €75M release clause falls on July 15th, La Gazzetta dello Sport relays. More landing spots could open up for him afterward, as his price tag could go down.
Two positive outcomes would be the best-case scenarios for Milan and Napoli, which would most likely get less money from different suitors. It’s still early, but they are surely hoping for a quick resolution to have ammo for their own plans.
