Serie A giants Napoli are now keen to seal a deal for Stefano Pioli in the next few weeks and the club see him as their next manager.

Il Mattino (via TMW) have reported about Napoli’s hunt for a new manager, stating that the option of Antonio Conte is fading away because the ex-Tottenham manager has taken too much time to respond and is continuing to stall on the offer that the Partenopei have made. Gian Piero Gasperini, meanwhile, seems keen to continue at Atalanta.

Pioli is now the club’s priority and Aurelio de Laurentiis is waiting to make sure that he exits Milan before Napoli make a contract offer for him. The hope from Napoli is that the situation resolves soon as they are aiming to make him their new manager in the next few weeks.

Napoli have already readied a contract worth €3 million a season for the Italian, who will be offered a two-year deal. It is now up to Pioli to speak to Milan about his termination.
