Torino are ready to raise the asking price for Inter Milan and Napoli target Alessandro Buongiorno amid interest from the Premier League.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper anticipate that the Granata want at least €45 million for the Italian international.
This summer, Torino defender Buongiorno will certainly be one of the hot names on the market in Serie A.
The Italian international has been one of the outstanding defenders in the Italian top flight this season.
Moreover, Buongiorno’s age also makes the player an obvious targets for the big clubs.
Buongiorno could very easily play for a decade at the level he currently is.
Therefore, it is not too surprising to see the likes of Inter, AC Milan, and Juventus keen on the 24-year-old’s signature.
Buongiorno had already been on the radar of Serie A side Atalanta last summer.
The Italian resisted La Dea’s interest to stay at Torino. However, he may not be far away from a summer move.
Inter have reportedly made Buongiorno a top target to reinforce their defense.
Then, Napoli are also extremely keen on the Italian international.
Reports indicate that the Partenopei would be ready to make an offer worth €40 million including add-ons.
However, that may not be enough to convince Torino, the Corriere report.
The newspaper report that the Granata are ready to ask for even more than the €40 million asking price that has been reported.
That is because there is interest in Buongiorno’s signature from big clubs in the Premier League, according to the Newspaper.
Therefore, there could be something of a bidding war for the 24-year-old’s signature.
And given the amount of cash in the English top flight, Torino could be confident of receiving a higher fee for Buongiorno.
Therefore, the asking price could rise to €45 million.
