In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Napoli centre-forward Victor Osimhen wants to sign for Manchester United this summer. It has been stated that the Nigerian talent is eager to join the Red Devils in this transfer period.

Osimhen’s Impressive Record In Turkish Football Last Season

Osimhen enjoyed a productive loan spell at Galatasaray last season when he put in a lot of productive performances as the spearhead of their attack. The Nigerian striker banged in 37 goals and picked up eight assists in 41 matches for the Turkish outfit in the previous campaign across multiple competitions.

The 26-year-old was a lethal presence in the final third as he averaged 5.2 shots per 90 minutes in the Turkish Super Lig. He kept 41.6% of his shots on target. However, Osimhen needs to work on improving his link-up play in the final third as he completed just 66.9% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com).

Osimhen’s current contract at Napoli will run out at the end of next season which could open the door for the Red Devils to snap him up on the cheap this summer.

Will Osimhen Be A Dream Signing For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?

Osimhen can find a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is a powerful runner with the ball at his feet. Standing at 1.86m, Osimhen is a strong presence in the air as well.

The Nigeria international has proven himself to be a prolific goal-getter in European football. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the high intensity of the Premier League if Man United end up recruiting him this summer.

Osimhen would add more firepower to Man United boss Ruben Amorim’s attack. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at Old Trafford next season.

Osimhen would also serve as a significant upgrade over Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at the Mancunian club. At 26, he is about to enter his prime which makes him a dream signing for Man United to pursue in this summer transfer period.
