Manchester United are Napoli striker Victor Osimhen’s preferred choice of destination, as per reports.

Osimhen’s future has been the subject of intense speculation over recent months. The 26-year-old led the Partenopei to their first Scudetto in 33 years in 2023 and established himself as one of the club’s greatest attackers.

However, in the summer of 2024, the sought-after striker fell out with Napoli’s hierarchy. This led to a surprise loan move to Galatasaray.

In Istanbul, the Nigerian star enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances. His exploits once again put him on the radar of several top clubs.

As per multiple reports, United are among his most strongest suitors but the absence of Champions League football and their financial predicament have weakened the Red Devils’ position in the market.

Liam Delap turned them down in favour of a move to Chelsea and Viktor Gyokeres has his heart set on joining Arsenal. Interestingly, Osimhen has different plans.

According to Fichajes, Osimhen has “chosen Manchester United as the team where he wants to continue his career.”

The Nigeria international has “made it clear” he will not stay at Napoli and he has shown willingness to be part of Ruben Amorim’s project at Old Trafford.

It is understood that despite receiving offers from Champions League clubs, Osimhen has picked United as his preferred option.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the Napoli forward has said no to Al-Hilal and Galatasaray, as he dreams of a move to the Premier League.

Osimhen is arguably one of the best strikers in Europe and his excellent movement and killer finishing instinct would transform United’s attack.

However, it is underlined that a deal is far from done, as Napoli’s €75 million asking price and Osimhen’s wages remain out of United’s reach. The Premier League giants might need to make major sales before pushing for his signature.
