Roma sporting director Frederic Massara spoke to Sky Sport a few minutes before kick-off against Pisa.
The Italian executive addressed the recent transfer market rumors.
“Dovbyk-Gimenez? It’s true that the final hours of the market are hectic and full of surprises, but at the moment this swap doesn’t exist.”
“Tyrique George and Benjamin Dominguez? These are interesting names that would fit the line we want to pursue, rejuvenating and integrating key players into a squad.”
“We knew it would be a difficult transfer market, but we’ve added some new faces to our roster. If we find suitable and logical players in the final hours, we’ll seize the opportunity.”
“Another midfielder? At this moment I think the offensive zone is the priority. But I repeat, these will be situations that must fit into an economic and technical logic but which must give us.”
“Dovbyk? As of today he is a Roma player. We’re satisfied; he scored 17 goals last year. Forwards like him and Gimenez are always the center of attention, especially in these moments.”
“Working at Roma? It’s wonderful, there’s enormous enthusiasm. We’ve started well, and the coach is already showing his talent. We want to continue like this to keep up the momentum that’s overwhelming us.”
