Alongside the Union, Minnesota will face big next tests in the post season.

FULL TIME!

And that's that from a jam-packed evening of Saturday football in MLS.

Portland held Minnesota, while Sporting and Houston won thrillers. Meanwhile, Nashville join NYCFC in being stunned.

GOAL! 89' -  St. Louis 2-3 Houston

It's Mykhi Joyner on his birthday who makes this a five goal thriller. We clearly spoke too soon. Will Houston hold on or can St. Louis use their late fuel to win it all?

GOAL! 85' - Minnesota 1-1 Portland

Of course, the big game is delivering late. It's Robin Lod who scores the equalizer as the game heads to stoppage time. Some control from him that.

GOAL! 86' - St. Louis 1-3 Houston

It might be all but done, however Eduard Löwen pulls one back for the hosts with a tremendous volley and finish.

GOAL! 81' - Sporting 4-2 Colorado

It's a brace for Dejan Jovelic, who is now on 16 goals for the season and potentially in the race for the Golden Boot.

GOAL! 80' - Minnesota 0-1 Portland

And we finally have a breakthrough in a big game over in Minnesota. Dayne St. Clair gets a hand to the ball but instead the ball hits off Nicolás Romero despite him trying to flick it out. Own goal is having a night!

GOAL! 77' - Austin 3-1 San Jose

The second own goal of the night sees Austin all but wrap up the three points at home. The club's admin is having some fun with this, too.

GOALS! 73, 75' - Sporting KC 2-2 Colorado, Sporting KC 3-2 Colorado

Two quick goals from Dániel Sallói and substitute Mason Toye sees the hosts turn it all around as Colorado are stunned.

GOAL! 72' - St. Louis 0-3 Houston

After a bit of a lull, we have the first team of the night to hit three goals. It's Duane Holmes for the visitors only minutes after coming on as Houston run riot.

A moment for the goalkeepers tonight.

GOAL! 53' - Austin 2-1 San Jose

It's another centre back goal here with Daniel Munie cutting the defecit in half for the visitors and the stadium falls quiet.

GOAL! 50' - St. Louis 0-2 Houston

It's our first goal of the night after the ball gets tangled in legs and Henry Kessler puts it in his own net.

Job done.

SECOND HALF UNDERWAY

We're back knee deep in the action with the other five games back on.

FULL-TIME RESULTS:

Here is how things went down around the grounds. Charlotte closed off the early games with an eighth win in a row.

Additionally, it's a stunning result from bottom side D.C. United over NYCFC for only their fifth win of the season.

And in case you missed it, the Canadian derby had two efforts hit the woodwork at either end. Meanwhile, the Union held on to make a massive step towards the Supporters' Shield.

GOAL! 88' - New England 1-2 Charlotte

We have a potential late winner here from Idan Toklomati has silenced the home stadium.

HALF-TIME

We're at the midway point for the five 8:30 p.m. EST kick offs. More to come.

GOAL! 88' - Toronto 1-1 Montreal

Some late firepower in Canada. Captain Jonathan Osorio blast home the equalizer as the stadium erupts.

Some stats from the spicy game in Kansas City.

GOAL! 83' - Toronto 0-1 Montreal

Meanwhile, we finally have a breakthrough in Canada. It's the men in blue who silence BMO Field courtesy of Dante Sealy, who is seriously unmarked.

GOAL! NYCFC 1-2 D.C. United

That's a turnaround in the Big Apple. It's two goals for Pirani who has the first brace of the night.

GOAL! 31' Sporting KC 1-2 Colorado

Make that two goals in only a few minutes. It's Keegan Rosenberry who redirects the ball home from point-blank range for the lead.

GOAL! 33' - Austin 2-0 San Jose

Make that two goals from two of the hosts' front three. This time, it is Myrto Uzuni on the scoresheet.

GOAL! 24' - Nashville 1-0 Atlanta United

It's a shock scoreline down south, with Ronald Hernández providing the goal for the visitors thanks to something straight off the training ground.

GOAL! 22' - Sporting KC 1-1 Colorado

After seeing his penalty saved, Rafael Navarro makes up for it with an equalizer for the visitors.

RED CARD! 60' - Philadelphia Union

Ugh oh, we've got a big talking and turning point in the weekend's big fixture. Olwethu Makhanya earns a second yellow and goes walking.

GOAL! 20' St. Louis 0-1 Houston

It's Ezequiel Ponce this time for the visitors with a header to break the deadlock.

Could Cincinnati be on their way to an unwanted stat tonight?

GOAL! 12' Austin 1-0 San Jose

We have a breakthrough at Q2 Stadium, with Osman Bukari the man to provide after a blistering run down the right wing and finish into the opposite corner.

GOAL! 46' Cincinnati 0-1 Union

We finally have a breakthrough in tonight's big game, with the visitors opening the scoring. Bruno Damiani connects with a slow/weak cross and somehow puts the ball over the line.

We're now underway in all 10 games tonight. Buckle up!

GOAL! 6' Sporting KC 1-0 Colorado

And it didn't take long for the back half of the games to deliver a goal. It's strike Dejan Joveljić who delivers for the hosts and number 15 for the season with a low header.

KICK OFF! (ALSO HALF-TIME)

While the first five games are experiencing a break, it's time to kick off the final fives games on Saturday. See the matches below.

Some insights from the big game of the night, which, despite no goals, continues to be a tough battle. Cincinnati and Philadelphia players were both exhausted as the half-time whistle blew.

It's been fairly quiet in the first half of these fixtures, but we're sure more action will be delivered come the second half of these games and the upcoming matches later on.

GOAL! 43 NYCFC 1-1 D.C. United

It's all level now as Gabriel Pirani hit off the right post and in for the visitors inside a very quiet Yankee Stadium.

GOAL! 24' New England 1-1 Charlotte

It's the hosts who are made to wait a long, long, time but Ignatius Ganago's effort is ruled onside and we're all level.

GOAL! 19' NYCFC - D.C. United

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Justin Haak. The centreback opens the scoring as the hosts temporarily move to fifth in the East.

That early goal moves Charlotte to third in the Eastern Conference. Elsewhere, leaders Philly travel to second-place Cincinnati.

GOAL! 12 ' - New England 0-1 Charlotte

It's Brandt Bronico with the opener on Saturday, after his header from close range just manages to cross the line.

Wow, we've had three chances for the opening goal around the grounds. A goalkeeper was sat, a long-range chip fell short and the woodwork hit.

KICK OFF!

The following teams are now out on the pitch. Who will score first? Let us know in the comments below.

The first handful of matches sees a derby in Canada as Montreal travels to face Toronto. Meanwhile, it's a top table clash with Philadelphia Union in town to battle FC Cincinnati.
