The league has settled on a punishment for Olympique de Marseille president Pablo Longoria. Longoria has been sanctioned for comments he made following his side’s 1-1 draw with Angers SCO earlier this month.

The 38-year-old was not happy with the officiating in that encounter, with Neal Maupay being red-carded after 30 minutes.

There were 24 fouls committed during that encounter, 15 against Marseille, with each side being reduced to 10 men and OM also receiving two yellow cards.

After the match, Longoria expressed displeasure about the officiating, and his rage was captured by cameras on DAZN’s broadcast.

As a result, the disciplinary committee suspended him for one match.

That suspension, however, will not be served this weekend when his side face Paris Saint-Germain in Le Classique. Instead, Longoria will be banned from their November 3 match against FC Nantes.
