Marseille targeting summer move for talented Anderlecht youngster | OneFootball

Het Nieuwsblad is reporting that Marseille are interested in signing Mario Stroeykens this summer. The side from the south of France have already held initial discussions with Anderlecht over the forward, but so far these have not gone further. However, with Stroeykens contract set to expire in the summer of 2026, Anderlecht may well have to be open to selling the 20-year-old this summer.

Prior to his injury, Stroeykens was having an excellent season. He had shown how talented he was during the 2023/2024 campaign with six goals and six assists in 40 games. This season he has played 31 games, with four goals and five assists. Stroeykens is a versatile player that can play out wide or centrally. It is of little surprise that the Ligue 1 side are interested and, if Anderlecht have any indication that Stroeykens will not sign a new deal, they will have to be open to offers this summer that will likely be below their valuation of the young talent.
