La Liga outfit Sevilla have this evening revealed that the club have been dealt a double blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that two members of Quique Sánchez Flores’ squad picked up injuries against Rayo Vallecano over the weekend.
En route to a Youssef En-Nesyri-inspired 2-1 triumph, first, January addition Lucien Agoumé was forced to limp out of proceedings with a muscular problem.
Then, post-match, word was forthcoming that defender Marcao, too, was dealing with an issue suffered during the exchanges at the Estadio de Vallecas.
The Sevilla faithful, in turn, had since been left to wait for updates on the pair with bated breath.
And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, precisely that has been forthcoming.
As per an official statement across the website and social media platforms of the Nervionenses, both Agoumé and Marcao have picked up left thigh injuries:
‘After tests, club doctors have informed that Marcao and Lucien Agoumé have both suffered a tear to the left thigh, with the injuries occurring during Monday night’s win in Vallecas.’
Though as much is yet to be announced, early reports point towards the Sevilla duo being in line for at least a month on the sidelines.
