Paul Pogba is poised to make a return to Juventus this summer, with the interested parties closing in on completing a much-awaited deal.

Today’s La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Paul Pogba has agreed to sign a contract at Juventus until June 2025. He will earn a reported salary of €7.5million per season plus various performance-related bonuses in his new contract in Turin.

Furthermore, the report claims that Massimiliano Allegri and his project at Juve have played a massive role in shaping the Frenchman’s ultimate decision.

Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing the midfielder but never pushed forward intensively with their interest.

On the other hand, Manchester United were reportedly keen on extending the Frenchman’s contract. But moved by the prospect of a new challenge, Pogba has understandably decided to part ways with the Mancunian side.

With the 2018 World Cup winner’s contract at Manchester expiring in June 2022, he will leave the club on a free transfer this summer.

The 29-year-old joined Manchester United from Juventus for a then-record transfer fee of €105million in the summer of 2016. But, as per the general feeling in Manchester, the midfielder has never managed to live up to the expectations. Though, the Old Lady enthusiasts will be anticipating a return of the Pogba who used to run riot in their midfielder during those good old days.
