Manchester United have entered the race to sign in-form Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Dewsbury-Hall has been a driving force in Leicester’s bid to win promotion to the Premier League, following the Foxes’ relegation last season. The 25-year-old has 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship so far this season, form which has helped Enzo Maresca’s side to the top of the table.

However, Leicester’s lead has narrowed after one win in five games and clubs are circling in the event the Foxes miss out on a return to the Premier League.

Leicester turned down a £20m bid from Brighton for Dewsbury-Hall in the January transfer window, though will find it difficult to reject Premier League approaches if the club fail to secure promotion. Fulham and Brentford were also linked in the winter window.

90min are reporting that Manchester United have joined Brighton in expressing interest in the midfielder, who has ambitions of playing European football and breaking into the England squad.

Manchester United are expected to overhaul their midfield in the summer with Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay all linked with leaving Old Trafford. Sofyan Amrabat’s loan move from Fiorentina is also unlikely to be made permanent, following an underwhelming spell in English football.

Leicester could be forced into the sale of the midfielder regardless of whether promotion is secured, following a charge by the Premier League for an alleged breach of Profit and Sustainability Rules. The Foxes are expected to demand a fee in the region of £40m from interested clubs before considering a sale.
