WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this evening.
It has been reported that Pritchard has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at The Joie Stadium.
Pritchard is a product of Durham’s Professional Game Academy League side. The player made her senior debut for The Wildcats during the second half of last season. Pritchard has gone on to make 17 appearances for Durham in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she has scored two goals.
The England Under-19 international has been pursued by several clubs but it is Manchester City who have won the race for her signature.
After signing for Manchester City, Pritchard said “I’m just really excited. It’s a great opportunity for a young player like me, so I just can’t wait to get started.
“I think the opportunities for a player my age to be playing in and around the best players in the world, is just such a great chance and a real good challenge for me.
“The players here are the best, so learning from them will be a great opportunity and experience.”
Pritchard becomes Manchester City’s first signing of the January transfer window.
