Manchester City forward Lauren Hemp has signed a new three-year contract with the club which will run until summer 2027.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this morning,

The 23-year-old England international joined Manchester City from Bristol City in summer 2018. The player has gone on to make 157 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions in which she has scored 65 goals. Hemp has won two Adobe Women’s FA Cups and two FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cups in her Manchester City career to date. She will be hoping to celebrate her new deal by winning the 2023/2024 Barclays Women’s Super League title next month.

After signing on again with The Cityzens, Hemp said “This is a special team. I want to take my game to the next level, and I feel like I’m capable of doing that here. The WSL is the best league to be in.

“I feel at home here in Manchester. With the squad we have here, we are always learning and it’s so special to be involved at a Club where we’re capable of achieving anything.

“I’m so passionate about this Club and there’s no place I’d rather be. I’m very excited to keep this journey going for the next few years.”

Hemp will hope to help Manchester City boost their title hopes further when they face Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Sunday evening.
