Sofyan Amrabat has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester United this summer.

Soyfan Amrabat is already undergoing his Manchester United medical despite there being no transfer agreement with Fiorentina, according to reports.

The Moroccan midfielder has been on Erik ten Hag’s transfer wishlist all summer, yet here we are on deadline day with no agreement in place.

United have been hoping to sign Amrabat on loan, a deal Fiorentina have not been willing to sanction…until now.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A club have now decided they will let the 27-year-old leave on loan for the season.

This is as long as Erik ten Hag’s side pay a “higher loan fee” and include a “buy clause” in the deal.

Romano wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Fiorentina are open to letting Sofyan Amrabat leave on loan! Now asking for higher loan fee plus buy clause to be included in deal with Man Utd.

“Travel not booked yet as clubs are still in negotiations. No talks with Fulham, it’s only MUFC in Amrabat’s mind.”

In a bid to speed up the process, Amrabat is already undergoing his medical ahead of a move to England, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness).

The Italian outlet claims the Red Devils are ‘all-in’ with the Italian club ‘ready to accept’ an offer.

Amrabat is currently ‘undergoing a medical’ at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa ‘on behalf’ of United, with Hargreaves negotiating in Florence.

This report backs up Romano’s claim that Fiorentina will let Amrabat leave on loan.

It is stated that the Italians ‘have opened up to the possibility of a paid loan that also includes a purchase option’ with an obligation to buy their preference.

After spending a fortune on Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, Ten Hag has had next to nothing left in his transfer budget, meaning he has been pushing for weeks to agree a loan transfer with Fiorentina.
