Manchester United goalkeeper Lee Grant has told manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer not to forget about him.

The Norwegian has a huge call to make regarding his No 1 ahead of Manchester United's season opener with Crystal Palace.

David de Gea retained the confidence of his manager despite several high profile errors last term.

But the return of Dean Henderson, who has just signed a lucrative new deal, has seen calls for him to usurp the Spaniard.

Sergio Romero, who was the club's cup goalkeeper last term, has been pushed further down the pecking order and could yet seek pastures new.

But Grant, who had a run out for the friendly defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday, has claimed that he could now be in the mix himself.

He told MUTV: "I thought he [Henderson] did fantastically well.

"David's come back from international duty as sharp as ever.

"And I've kept a clean sheet today and made the gaffer's job even more difficult next week."
