Malick Yalcouyé targeted by Toulouse

Toulouse are in advanced talks with Brighton to secure the loan of young Ivorian midfielder Malick Yalcouyé.

At just 19 years old, Malick Yalcouyé made his mark at ASEC Mimosas before moving to IFK Göteborg in 2024. After a stellar start to the season in Sweden, he was transferred to Brighton, who immediately loaned him out to Sturm Graz. There, he made 36 official appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

While Hoffenheim initially showed interest, it’s now Toulouse FC who appear to be in pole position. Fabrizio Romano reports that the player is keen on a move to Ligue 1, where he hopes to take his game to the next level.

Under contract with Brighton until 2029, Malick Yalcouyé could soon discover French football as he looks to continue his development. Talks are ongoing, and a deal could be reached in the coming days.
